What a great record. I think it might be one of the best of the contemporary live Neil records. Much better than that "Alive With Pleasure" 7" which is misleading because everybody thinks it's Neil singing a Born Against song, who is a punk rock band and would make sense after Neil has become a great musician. Anyways, everybody should buy it -- but I know they won't, mainly because most everybody on this board hates Neil (A Tong, Tom Pringle, Clunt, etc.) Maybe Pearl is the best. I wish that Pearl did not live in Texas but Arizona, that way we (me, Pearl, Boni) could get Neil's fan's back on track. You see, Neil is doing better than ever, but people still bash him on this board. I don't get it.

Thanks, Ryan, that's the first time I ever loggged on this board and seen something POSITIVE said
Ryan, If I lived in Arizona we could have a NEIL PARADE, with tubas, in the street. That would be great.
maybe we could all schedule a Neil Parade? everyone in this board, and beyong could March in Solidarity, for Neil. (not against)

I was just listening to Neil Hamburger's recent instant classic album, "Live at Third Man Records". For any fans who have not heard it yet, it is a collection of new and classic material recorded live in front of around 3000 mixed adoring fans at Third Man Records. It was interesting on the B-side that about 50% of it was taken up with one VERY long joke (about the gays)... it was interesting because taking up most of one side of an album with one single joke, a joke that might be considered to not be one of Neil's strongest...is like a throw-back to Neil's early recordings where his comedy routines could go a whole show with-out raising even a chuckle.

Strictly for the hard-core fans...but has anyone noticed that after certain types of jokes on 'Live at third Man Records", Neil makes a new grumbling sound ? It's very funny and seems to fit perfectly with the material. Neil just gets better and better.
