This was reviewed at www.boston.com. Anyone heard it yet? If you have a sick sense of humor, look into ``The Golding Institute Presents Final Relaxation" (Ipecac Recordings). The bold lettering on the back of the album proclaims it to be ``The Most Unusual Album Ever Sold!" Considering it's nearly 32 minutes of an increasingly embittered narrator trying to lull listeners into a hypnotic state so he can convince them to maim themselves to death, it certainly has to be in the running. The album is produced by Brendan Walls and Gregg Turkington (a.k.a. Neil Hamburger).

I am afraid that maybe those who have heard it are probablyt now dead, and couldn't say they have.

it is a good record, you should probably buy many copies. it gives you the kind of relaxation that could only take place in an urn, as i believe the man says. at first i was confused about what the neil hamurger connection was here, but i thought about it and remembered that ryan kerr was on some of the earlier golding institute records, and ryan kerr was the one who interviewed neil hamburger on that old 7".

Oh dear lord. Possibly the funniest cd I've ever heard. Listened to it at 8:30 this morning and I couldn't feel more alive. Call me stupid if this isn't Mr. Hamburger on the recording...because it is. Same faxed head voice...same zip code rapists voice.
Gregg is one of the most underrated comedic geniuses of modern times.
And this cd is his best achievment yet.
Brilliant!!

no! it's worth the dollars. another connection to "THE 'BURGER": gregg turkington, who produced this album, has also been "manning the boards" on many of neil hamburger's best albums, as you'll notice if you go through your collection and read the sleeve credits closely!

He's the producer or something. He must be even more untalented than Neil is he's PRODUCING this crap!

I just bought and listened to this "FINAL RELAXATION" CD. I don't care what the connection is, we'd better keep this away from Poor Neil, because sometimes he is depressed and very sad. We don't want him to die!

i just receive my Final Relaxation CD in the mail. but i'm still afraid to listen to it because i am very susceptible to anything Neil suggests.

I never heard it, but I doubt Neil had any thing to do with it, he is much to busy with the Tour.

yea, keep living in fantasy land Boni. Neil is NOT Gregg, and the REAL Mr.Hamburger will be busting down your door to carry you off to the altar ANY MINUTE now.

I find Kweef's posts a delight to read. They're like listening to enya, or birds chirping in the morning. Or someone dying in their sleep.

yes boni could we please move this post to the "other comedians and musicians" section? although there have been some connections established (same producer, appearance of radio personality ryan kerr), this is really just cluttering up this section that is meant for the discussion of NEIL's best records!
