E6's debut Fire spawned 2 top 10 British hits and was featured on Rolling Stones and Spin's best of 2003 lists. Such reception would normally warrant a big push for the second release, but instead the label favored to not promote the album at all and choose a weak single in Radio Ga-Ga, a track Dick Valentine didn't even want on the album. Valentine's struggle is detailed in this interview: onetrickpony.ws/electric_excellence. Despite these difficulties, DV managed to put together an album filled with infectious hooks and clever lyrics. Do not write of the Six as just a novelty act. Give them the chance that they deserve.
