Gregg Turkington of Amarillo Records and Zip Code Rapists will drop by Acapulco Dance Party this Saturday at 10 PM (Eastern time) to play a bunch of beautiful and confounding records from his personal collection of vanity pressings and "real people" records. Expect singing nuns, basement crooners, teenage folkies, backwoods metalheads, and much more. Listen online at www.wfmu.org. WFMU, Jersey City, NJ www.wfmu.org

Is this finally the proof we have been looking for, that Gregg Turkington and Neil Hamburger are NOT the same person?
Saturday night, Gregg Turkington is "dropping by" to guest DJ on WFMU in New Jersey, yet that same night, Neil Hamburger is headlining at Spaceland in Los Angeles. NOT PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE IF THEY ARE THE SAME MAN! I never thought they were.

Well there are plenty of people out there who would like to RUIN Neil's career by trying to say say he is the same person as that coat tail riding "producer" Gregg Turkington, just like people say that Boni isn't a real Neil fan. Well, I say the proof is in the pudding, and Neil is as American as the day is long, and Boni is a huge Neil fan, and works hard for him, even though she might blow some of her friends off after she's invited them all out to meet at a specific time and place.

Dear Sir, I cannot tell you how pleased I was to have heard my own very heartfelt rendition of "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" broadcast across the airwaves at long last, as has been a dream of mine for nearly four decades. My dear wife Flossie, to whom that song was dedicated, would be so happy right now were she here to share in this moment. (Flossie went on to sing with The Angels in 1978). If I do declare, my song was the highlight of the evening! Regretfully, my attempts at phoning the radio station during the program, to thank you in person, could not get through. Respectfully Yours, Mr. J. Shabazz

I like to thank that DJ for sharing them treasures. I was inspired by that to go through my dustbins to appreciate more the priceless (25cent) albums that no one never cared for except that one person (the one singing). And it wasn't so easy back then to just record and have instant cd like nowindays. Those people had to really mean it.
